Editorial Policy
In force since 13 July 2026
Training advice is easy to publish and hard to publish responsibly. This page sets out the rules Pet World Plane works to.
Independence
No trainer, school, brand or shop has any stake in this site. Nothing here is sponsored, no article was commissioned, and there are no affiliate links in any page.
Where the information comes from
We work from the published guidance and position statements of professional training associations and veterinary-behaviour bodies, and from the learning-theory literature those bodies cite. Every article closes with the organisations behind it. We link to their main sites rather than deep pages, because those sites are reorganised often.
A stated editorial position
This site presents reward-based training only. That is a position, and we prefer to declare it rather than pretend to neutrality. We do not publish instructions for aversive equipment, and we do not describe methods that work through pain, startle or intimidation.
What we will not publish
- Advice for an individual dog with a history of serious incidents. That needs a professional who can see the animal.
- Timelines that promise a result in a fixed number of days.
- Product recommendations, discount codes or sponsored content.
- Figures we cannot attribute to a named source.
Corrections
Send the article title and the correction through the contact page. We aim to reply within three business days. If a correction changes what a passage means, the article is edited, the date at its foot is changed, and the change is described. Nothing is deleted silently.
Updates
Articles are revisited when the guidance behind them is revised, or when a reader shows us something has moved on. The date on each article is the date of its last real edit.
Advertising
There is no third-party advertising on this site and no affiliate revenue. If either is ever introduced, it will be labelled, kept visually separate from articles, and announced on this page first.
